Tower Grove Neighborhoods Community Development Corporation received a grant to partner with Tower Grove South residents, block captains and the TGS Neighborhood Association to complete 6 Clean-up/Fix Up projects in the area. The grant focuses on areas of the neighborhood that are in need of help and have identified the boundaries of Potomac on the north, Chippewa on the south, Grand on the east and Oak Hill on the west as the area of Tower Grove South in which the Clean Up/Fix Up projects can be initiated.
About the Projects:
- All 6 projects must follow the guidelines of improving the appearance, safety and image of the area.
- The ideas for the projects must come from the neighborhood residents and can include projects like alley clean ups, plantings, light-bulb/porch-light initiatives, community gardens, vacant lot clean up, trashcan adoption (like on 3600-3700 Bamberger), neighborhood signage, little libraries, recycling/ trash education.
- Projects should be sustainable
- Each project should be able to be completed in a day or two by volunteers.
We need residents ideas of projects you would be interested in working on and that you think would make Tower Grove South an even better place to live! We look forward to your input and suggestion!
*The final 6 projects must be approved by Community Development Administration prior to execution. The Tower Grove Neighborhoods Community Development Corporation CDBG Neighborhood Improvement Program and related activities is financed wholly through a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Community Development Administration under the provision of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (Pub L, 93-383 42 USC 5301 et seq.)
